DETAILED ITINERARY
Please Note: Our City and Safari itinerary includes a choice of Platinum or Gold level packages to suit you needs. The itinerary below is based on the Platinum package. There are an overwhelming number of attractions on offer in Cape Town so we have selected some of our favourites for you.
Day 1
Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa. You will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel to freshen up after your long journey. Use your first night to beat your jetlag or take full advantage of some of the best shopping and fine dining that South Africa has to offer. A night to catch your breath and marvel at the fact that you are in Mzansi (South Africa)!
Day 2 to 4
Luxury Train
A Luxury Train is one of South Africa's "must-do" experiences. You will be transfered to the train in the morning and spend the next 33 hours being indulged by your butler, sleeping in 5 star comfort and stopping at historically rich attractions on route. There could be no better way to travel to Cape Town! All food and beverages on board are included. On your arrival in Cape Town you will be welcomed to the Mother City and transferred to your 'home' for the next three nights.
Day 4 to 7
Cape Town - our own little Riviera
City adventures are waiting for you in the sea-side, mountain-flanked paradise that is Cape Town. While you are here you can choose from a number of activities or get barefoot on one of our pristine beaches. The mother-city, as we call her, is a treasure trove of high quality shopping, world-class restaurants and a variety of live entertainment venues. Alternatively, put your feet up, make like us local Capetonians, and relax to the max!
Day 8 and 9
It's time to go on SAFARI
After breakfast, it's time to travel to your game reserve where you will spend the next two nights enjoying daily game drives in search of the Big Five. In between game drives cool off in the swimming pool or enjoy being pampered at the spa. If you are travelling with children enjoy some well deserved free time while your children are entertained by nature loving lodge staff.
Day 10
All good things must come to an end
There's still time for one more early morning game drive and sumptuous bush buffet breakfast, then it's time to check-out (warning: there will be tears!) and prepare for the journey back to Johannesburg for your connecting flight home. It's not good-bye, just "see you soon"!
